My partner and I stayed at Desolation Resort for a week and it was absolutely perfect for our romantic getaway. The location, tucked away among the trees, provided us with complete privacy and tranquility. The deck with a barbecue was a great addition, allowing us to enjoy lovely meals every night. We also appreciated the easy drive to Lund for their famous cinnamon buns and the fantastic Laughing Oyster restaurant within walking distance. The attention to detail and unique design of each chalet made our stay extra special. We can't wait to return every six months to experience this relaxing and charming setting again.
I do recommend this hotel.

the spacious chalets were well equipped and offered breathtaking views of the rocky shore. It was truly a special experience, especially using the hot tub on the deck in the evening and morning. the facilities had everything I needed and were of high quality. I also enjoyed having access to free kayaks and canoes to explore the stunning water. the Laughing Oyster restaurant next door served the best food around, and I loved the proximity to Lund and Savoury island. the breakfast at the bakery in Lund was simply amazing.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes. 😊.

I had a truly unforgettable stay at a beautiful resort nestled in the heart of nature. The cabin I stayed in was cozy, well-stocked, and offered breathtaking views. The complimentary use of kayaks and canoes was a fantastic perk, allowing me to explore the surrounding wilderness. The resort's location near a sandy beach on Savory Island was a highlight of my trip. The staff, especially Josephine at the front desk, went above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful experience. Despite the lack of cell phone signal and Wi-Fi, it was a welcome break from the outside world. I highly recommend this resort for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Desolation Resort for a relaxing and romantic weekend getaway. The beautifully designed chalet had a gorgeous cedar interior and was fully equipped with everything we needed. The private placement of the chalets in the woodlands was perfect for a peaceful stay. We loved the lack of technology, with no TV or internet, and instead found pleasure in the collection of paper novels available in multiple languages. The big wraparound deck and BBQ in our chalet added to our enjoyment, along with the complimentary canoes and kayaks for exploring Okeover Arm. Highly recommended!
Would recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at a charming resort nestled in a serene location surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The cabins were spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering fully furnished kitchens and barbecue facilities. Additionally, the resort provided free access to canoes and kayaks, allowing guests to explore the picturesque Okeover Arm. The peacefulness and tranquility of the surroundings made it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway.
Some minor maintenance issues were observed in certain cabins, such as a few cobwebs and a shower needing some attention.
